BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Vancouver, BC, Keno Magano played at the University of the Fraser Valley, and coached with the North Shore Twins of the BC Premier Baseball League (BCPBL). In 2017, the Twins’ completed a “Triple Crown”, in which all three Twins teams - Bantam, Junior, and Senior - won their respective provincial tournaments. In 2018, as a first-time head coach, his Bantam Twins won the BC Provincial tournament - its second in a row - and finished third at Nationals.
Coach Keno also coached the Zone 5 team at the BC Summer Games in 2016 and 2018, winning gold medals at both events. In the summer of 2023, he joined the coaching staff for the Team BC 16u girls at Nationals in Prince Edward Island.
Most recently, Coach Keno worked as an assistant softball coach for Simon Fraser University, Canada’s only NCAA institution. SFU was near the top of the conference in hitting in two of his three years, leading the conference in 2022.
Coach Keno joins ATHX as the Operations Manager but looks forward to spending as much time as possible with the baseball program.
